Hi I was wondering the same thing. I would like to find out my external ip address as well using the cmd function.

Here is my problem:

when I run ipconfig, the connection-specific dns suffix now says earthlink.net

It used to have numbers. I don't know if I did anything to change it. Is there any way I can get it back to the way it was? Thanks for your help.
