Here at school we have a principle with new rules. He now has a new Interent block which allow you to go on the internet but blocks a lot of sites. When going to the web sit it says " Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage." So any ideas how to get around it? Also it won't let you look up any sites in the search or web adress bar that has the words proxy or conventor. ( Sorry if post is in the wrong area)

hmm possibly. i thought it was a bit naughty but what harm can come out of it. its up to the user how they use it

This is a corporate filtering policy. Chances are there was a very good reason for imposing it [some of which are to prevent time wasting, objectionable or illegal content from entering or leaving the system], and I think you will find that bypassing it is totally against your IT usage policy.

All it takes is for one person to start using a proxy, get detected, and the proxy URL can be added to the deny list on the legitimate local proxy server. So, you could argue, the more you use them the more chance you have of not getting away with it.
