i just got this error
what does it mean and why did i get it?

A 500 Error is the result of a misconfigured CGI script or a misconfigured .htaccess file

so it is a problem on the server side, not on the client side

thanks for the link, it leads onto apache server status and error codes

are the error codes and status the same for all servers, or is it just for apache servers

This definitely sounds like a server side problem on your windows server since you're using a .dll too

What does cms.dll do? You might try making sure no other active process on the server is using that file or restarting the web server program or the server itself if that doesn't fix it.

i guess i am on the client side since i was visiting a site and i got this message


so i cant restart the web server.

just wanted to understand how these processe worked
