I am new to this forum and was hoping that this would be the right place to ask the people who know, this kind of question. Well, I recently updated my motherboard to a Socet 939 (Gigabyte GA-K8NCS) and it has integrated Realtek AC'97 audio (4-chan., 6-chan, and 8-chan with surround kit). My speakers are Altec Lansing VS-3151 5.1 and I'm having a really hard time making the two work together, in 5.1 surround. The problem is that the output from my soundcard (Blue, Green and Orange) and input on my speakers (Black, Yellow, and Green) don't work together at any setting I've tried so far. There seems to be so many different configurations that I can do but none work in 5.1. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone has had similar or the same problem or maybe just knew what the problem could be. Thanks ahead of time.
