installing xp sp2

i tried installing windows xp service pack 2 into my laptop, now it called for 'motorola sm56 install disk for windows' well i dont have that, so i hit cancel and it continued with the install, but when it went to load the install it comes up with the blue screen of death, and even when i try and restart the computer it does the exact same thing, how do i fix this or do i need to get that disk somehow

The Motorola SM56 is your built in dial-up modem. The drivers aren't completely necessary, unless you use it. You can get them here: SM56 Software Modem Downloads.

What error message are you getting when it BSODs?
