I am thinking of purchasing a heatcore like this one: http://www.xoxide.com/xoxide-external-radiator-kit.html

I read the watercooling guide on this forum, and decided to purchase a 70 dollar heatcore instead of a 130+ dollar 3 fan radiator from thermochill. I will hopefully be running a higher flow watercooling system and those two would be my top choices.

Now the mounting instructions shows drilling holes on top of the case, that would be fine if I wasn't going to put this on my beautiful Lian Li case. I was wondering if I could just mount this like a radiator and use a plastic radbox. Will the radbox support the weight of the heatcore?

Also I was wondering what the best fans would be for this heatcore, I heard that they needed fans with very high CFM ratings. So what would your suggestions be?

Thanks for the help!.

You say "The radbox" as if there is some predefined universally accepted vision of a radbox, unless you're thinking of the shroud or something.

What box are you talking about? Just mount the heatercore where you can and where you've got room. Don't forget that you'll need to put a shroud on the heatercore for better airflow from the fans.

You can get whatever fans you want, but obviously high CFM will give you cooler temps. I'm got a couple 130CFM 120mm fans on mine, but a friend gave me these fans so I don't know where to get them. They are deltas though so search for some high CFM delta fans I guess.

sorry, I'm a total noob so I was actually referring to this:

my case only has one 120MM outlet so it probably needs one of those if I don't want to drill holes on the top of the case.

My friend (aspire.comptech) told me I can just gut a 120mm fan and use it as a extension.
