Installation disk not formatted for W7, can I still install?

I have an installation disk that has been formatted for all operating systems up to Vista. Is there a way I can still use the disk to install in on a Windows 7 computer? I know that you can sometimes run a program with the settings of another OS (like running a game as XP), but can you do something like this for the installation?

lol yea, that just means w7 wasn't out of the time. Depends on the game though, I mean..some older (like around xp or younger) might not work properly
