I'm Yami!

Hey, I'm Yami, or Kiki if ya'll know me from anywhere but here. Been on Techist for something like 10 years.

When I joined I was in secondary school (sixth form), then did Ethical Hacking & Network Security at uni, did a couple years in digital forensics, now work doing tech support for netsec systems, mostly Palo Alto firewalls and cloud products at this point.

Some actual facts about me;
1) In a polyamorous relationship
2) I'm British
3) My Mum is a computing lecturer, so had my own PC since I was a wee kid in the mid 90s.

It's only now in my late 20s that I'm starting to really appreciate the leg up that my background gave me - my schools weren't all that great, but it didn't matter because I was constantly surrounded by lecturers, computing equipment, tons of books, and these passively gave me such an advantage just from it being a normal part of my environment.
