So I was at my local computer shop the other day and I saw a bunch of ram sticks wrapped in bubble wrap. I asked them how much, they said just take it so I did because they said it was older stuff.

There are 3 matching pairs and one that is an IBM 4mb stick (good thing it was free!). 2 of the matching pairs are Compaq EDO ram, and one matching pair is Panasonic.

Is there a website I can go to that I can find out what kind, what speed, how many mb....etc...? Like putting in the serial numbers and it searches? Just want to know if any of this stuff is any good or I should send it straight to file 13.

There is a goodwebsite for searching things like serial numbers to find information:

http://www.google.com

:D no kidding, its great for this sorta thing.

and you can always use the RAM if you ever need to test something (unless its ancient - otherwise they'd make nice ornaments) :)

lol

Thanks, I'll check out the site.

Well if they aren't any good, they're going right into the round file, I've got enough computer stuff laying around that I need to get rid of...
