When iTunes 7.0 for Windows was first released, a majority of people experienced alot of sound issues. Apple released a fix and so far so good...

I never had any sound issues with it when I upgraded to 7.0. and I updated as soon as it came out.

maybe it's because of my X-Fi

Hardware shouldn't fix a software issue though, so I doubt it was the X-FI.
