I want to build a web app

Hello all, I hope everyone is well and that my stay here is fruitful!



I'm keen to learn how to develop a website, and specifically a web application in the very near future. My background is not in IT, but in Maths. I am keen to learn!

In a nutshell, I want to design a database-like, program whereby I can store people's data(generally numbers) and then, the program does some complex maths calculations (based on the data given) and I get some answers/graphs/tables in return.

I'm looking to make something more substantial than a spreadsheet (which is where the calculations are being made at the moment). Can anyone shed any light on the path I need to take to move my idea forward?

To me, it sounds like you're trying to make this harder than it has to be. Why won't a spreadsheet work?

Also, whats the timeframe do you wish to complete this? I would est 4-5 months of research and testing to learn concepts. then, another 2-3 to develop the solution.
