I need me some Carp fishing tips

Well, im off Carp fishing later today. Went earlier this week with my dad and caught nothing, hopefully this time will be more successful, anyone got any killer tips they wish to share ?

Yeh, i was going to - but managed to find some good tips on carp forums (unsurprisingly). Turns out i shouldn't be float fishing at this time of year.

Never understood why anybody intentionally caught those things. We always went down to the river and shot them as they jumped out of the water. Yes, alcohol was involved.

Corn + pitchfork + ??? = PROFIT.
