I've had this happen also, your config.nt file got corrupted (this generally happens during the SP2 update). Follow the steps in the above article, and you should be good.

i dont think it really matters if you have a whole screenshot. Dial up users are the only ones that scream about it but i dont care. If your not on dial up then it shouldnt matter. anywho, i woulndt recomend keeping SP2 dude. if you have it i would take it out. I know many others will disagree w/ me but i think it sux and it currupts your system.

It's a good thing. It's a huge update for windows, and sometimes on these updates, some things get corrupted.

if you want, which im not saying you have to its just advice, you can uninstall it (if its like SP1) from add/remove programs list in control panel. thats of course if you've archived your files.
