i need hardisk assistance please.

i never move my computer when it is on,, and the drive runs nice and cool all the time.
i guess the material is just ageing inside the drive?
well that sucks because that would mean that the whole drive will fail before long right?
i dont see how certain parts of the drive will deterioate quicker than the rest.

could it have anything to do with the humidity or something???
i run a spaceheater in my room now that it is winter.. but i dont really see how that might make a difference..
did i just get a bad drive or something? i've had it for a few about 2years.

ok i am having a new issue..
when i copy data from my WD caviar blue 500gb onto the WD caviar green it only copyies at about 20MB/sec..
thats not a problem or anything.. but if i try to access the 500gb Blue drive while it is copying my computer either locks up or it takes a very long time to open the file or song..
i dont think it is supposed to be this way i know my WDC blue can read data alot faster than 20MB/sec

i have win7 64bit ultimate edition.. 4gb of ddr2-800 ram, a 3ghz dualcore amd 64 processor.. and a asus M2N sli deluxe motherboard.
