I need a new video card

Ya you know, as I posted it, I thought to myself, isn't it the same chip. Looked it up and I said, ya, just a 920 will do. Why do I need a 5870, just in case. I like having the best. Spending an extra few bucks to make sure I have a good product and making sure that the rig will last 3-4 years is worth it in my book. Plus, I'm not paying

I'm 16 and my parents didn't spend a penny on my rig. I had to work for everything.

I don't see any purpose in having 5870 CF unless you are doing an EF setup.

Moving out of my house and graduating college. Call it a going away present. I did build this rig on my own though.

The point in having twin 5870s is to extend the longevity of the rigs usefullness. I want to build it once, and not need to upgrade it until stuff starts to rust. 4 years +. High end cpu, high end gpu, high end mobo, high end psu means mid-range in 5 years. Then I can turn around, sell it...and do it over again.

Get a 5970 and save $200

Or get one 5870 and pop in a second when they are cheap. Its kinda a waste right now. I guess if you aren't paying for it though...
