I need a networking project to graduate

I am network management student who needs a networking project to graduate. I'm not working in the field right now & have no network setup at home. I was looking for some suggestions on a project that would use networking skills. I have taken XP & 2003 server networking classes that correlate to the MCSE Cert. Does anyone have any suggestions?
