I hope I didn't make a huge mistake

I just purchased Anydvd and also Clone dvd 2 from Slysoft. Great programs but I purchased them on my desktop and would like to somehow transfer them to my laptop. I should of bought them on my laptop in the first place but I didn't. How can I get those programs to work on my laptop. Please don't tell me I have to drop another $100 and some dollars for those two programs again. And I am not computer savy so if you could explain it like I am a 5 year old that would be awesome. Thanks a milliion.

Just download the program and use the key from your desktop.

I tied that but it keeps coming up you have 21 days left on your trial. I contacted Slysoft and they said I would have to purchase it again. I don't think so. They weren't very helpful. I have udes their products a lot in the past. I hope I can get this resolved or I won't be using their products in the future.

Not really much you can do about it. I would ask them if they can transfer the license key over.

to be honest i think you are justified to torrent the program with a key gen and use that because if they are going to treat you like that i dont know what they expect you to do. i dont know how everyone feels about torrents but id go to a torrent site like mininova and just hack it from there. its easy to do and they have the newer clone dvd 4.

The law states I believe if you have one licence key, that you can have it installed on one machine at a time.

That means, you are well within rights to un-install it from your PC, and use the key on your laptop instead. If they don't help you with that, they are in the wrong.

Correct me if I'm wrong though...

I think Kage is correct. You have ownership of 1 license key, doesn't matter what machine as long its only installed on 1 machine.

And I'm sure that the key (slysoft's, at leat), legal or not, can be used with more than one installation. It isn't verified online, and the ones that come with the torrents are used hundreds, or even thousands of times, if it comes with a reg key, instead of a keygen or crack. I had a problem getting it to register on my computer once, as well. I never did figure out what the problem was.
