Hi all,

My desktop has an SSD and two data drives. I have enabled bitlocker on my SSD and one of the data drives, however the other one has no option to enable bitlocker.

If I go to this PC and right click the drive, the option just isn't there.

See screenshot here: https://i.imgur.com/8DgtWB5.png

I should also point out I am running Windows 8.1 Pro

What is the format of the drive that isn't showing? (e.g. FAT32, NTFS...?)

try this run gpedit as administrator
go to the path : Computer Configuration – Administrative Templates – Windows Components – BitLocker Drive Encryption –Removeable data drives - enable

See if this works and let me know?

Thanks for the reply. This policy refers to removable media - I already have this enabled as I have put bitlocker on a 2TB external drive. This drive in question is fixed media. I am unsure why it worked on one data drive but not the other..

If you do figure out what the problem was please let us know! I couldn't find anything to help fix this so anything that helps us learn too would be greatly appreciated.
