1+ that is a wicked idea you will have a nes that will stomp anything. even most pc's on this forum. measure it out first tho to see if you can fit a mini atx. would be much more pactical. also a volt modded 4850 might be a litle better due to isngle slot. here is another idea tho, you could make a liquid cooling box for your main rig with the nes.

I think someones got there wires crossed that is a Mini-ITX board. Just because its ITX doesn't mean it has to be low powered the 658 supports Q9550 and a pci-expx16 slot so a 4870 isn feasible. Due to it being ITX it will fit in no problems as for psu either get an external one which go upto around 300W like this:
KustomPCs.co.uk - mCubed HFX Mini External PSU 280W EF28
or go internal with this
KustomPCs.co.uk - Shuttle 300w PC50 SilentX PSU
something like this could be used to run a high powered gfx card KustomPCs.co.uk - Thermaltake W0157 450W ToughPower Power Express

An automated fan controller could be used to keep everything within acceptible temps like this
KustomPCs.co.uk - mCubed T Balancer BigNG
Raise the NES slightly and add fans along the base for intake then out the rear with more fans to keep a steady airflow.

Flexible riser card could be used to allow the 4870 card to be routed horizontally inside the case above the mobo then the monitor cable could still be routed through the back to not lose the illusion.

Universal 80W Silent PSU and DC Converter Kit from mini itx
mini-itx.com - store - power supplies

you can get REALY small components there, much more readily available from there than most places.

They are a rip off, yes they sell most things you could need but do some calling around. Maybe lie little about doing industrial/scientific research and if the components are suitable for the final product a large order would go there way if they decreased the cost, worked for me when I called Commell and a touchscreen company who specialise in hazardous environments:)

Yep I was thinking about make the NES controller wallet.

An external PSU is a great idea, you would have alot more room in the case.

there is one just a little further down the page that I linked too, if you look at it its just a 20-24 pin ATX a 12v 1 molex an one sata and a power nipple that will cut down on the PCB and if you did it smart you can have little or no wires showing.
