Guys, he is a college student. People here really need to learn how to answer the question instead of pestering the OP. Answer his damn question and move on. This is why a lot of people don't stick around here. To the OP, the Sager I pointed out will be more than enough to replace your desktop. I understand you need the ability to lug it around and game on it. Dual 4850's is useless on that resolution. The Sager gives you a 17 inch screen, 1900x1200 resolution and and GTX 280M, which is more or less equal to a Core 216.
