How would you describe colour to a blind person?

I watched a movie once where the girl described the color blue using a cold rock and the color red by using a warm rock. (she put them in his hands)

That is the best way I could think of. And the only two colors to boot.

Blue is the color of the sky, Green is the color like Grass and Red is the color like what Blood looks like!
