I need to use two different internet connections at different times n wat I do currently is to unplug the CAT-5 cable n plug in the other one n then change the IP setting et al n repeat the same steps when I wanna use my other connection...I got an another LAN card n plugged it in..but my OS (XP PRO SP2) dint seem to detect it..I'm newbie in networking can someone help me out with this..I wud really appreciate ur help n patience..

then go to the network connections and there will be both of them listed, when you want to switch, just disable one and enable the other one.

I wish it was that simple but its not !!!..Thou I hav installed the driver for the D-link Card I'm unable to find it in the device manager..nor do i find it in the network connections..dunno how to carry forward frm here..

Change it to another PCI slot, get it to show up in device manager first then if Windows prompt for a driver, provide it and it should be installed correctly.
