How to make a website like this?

I wonder what tools do I need to get or learn to make a website like the link I posted above. Thank you!

DreamWeaver makes it a total PITA to use anything BUT DreamWeaver after the fact.

I've gone back and forth between Dreamweaver and Aptana Studio. AS isn't a WYSIWYG editor, but the interface is so much cleaner and easier to use. Besides, running a web browser or two on the side isn't that hard. Granted, it slows you down by a couple seconds per code update, but it's more realistic, IMHO, since you're seeing your web page exactly as everyone else will be seeing it, and not through some emulated browser in the IDE.

Besides web editing tools, was there specific approach you had in mind for building the site? Would you want to learn HTML or advance to specific functions over the course of the website?

Good 'ol Notepad++ is good enough for me .

I use it for...everything. Except when I'm actually developing something that needs to be compiled - like C# or C++.

I've got just about zilch that built-in things can't do that NP++ can (aside from YAML, that is. )

For me, NP++ is good for if I just need to look at source code without having a full IDE open.
