How to find lost family members?

Well when i was 5 my mom left my dad. And im now 21. Yesterday i was helping my mom move and i found my dads OLD Collage ID card. It has his first middle last name and his Social security number. Does anyone know where i can go to try and locate him, without paying?

Go to the police and show them proof that you are his son. Then they might be able to locate him.

i hope hes not dead, just wondering if someone new a website to input his full name or SS number and get a phone number or something.

not sure about SS number, but have you tried google, or social network webpages? (myspace, facebook, classmates, etc. etc. etc.)

i think i found where he lives but the number is set to private. i dont have a physical address. my search continues..........
