How to disable tap click on pad??

Hey gang,

I have a Dell Latitude C640 and I just loaded XP OS. Now I can't figure out how to disable the "tap click" on the touch panel. I use a mouse sometimes but on the road I do not so the tap click is VERY annoying. Can someone help me find how to disable this?? It's not in the mouse properties anywhere!

if it's not in the mouse properties, try updating your touchpad driver

Well if it's a laptop, it's intergrated, so there wouldn't be a driver, would there?

well, my laptop has a driver for the touchpad

Yep, there were driver disks that I found for my laptop and I had to reload the touch pad driver. Doh!

Well I learned something new today. I never knew there were drivers for touchpad..i thought it was intergrated with motherboards...though it might vary from laptop to laptop...anyways, congrats.

Drivers are only needed for special features really. For the most part, they are PS/2 compatable... I know mine worked fine without drivers, except for the scroll buttons...
