could be the signal strength of the cable modem, check the internals for tx rx and snr, call your isp and see what their ranges are. the internal for your cable modem should be 192.168.100.1 also belkin has a lifetime warranty on their equipment give them a call...

are you sure its you router?
if you Xbox is gettin a good signal then maybe something else whats the actual problem with it jsut signal loss?

hes got the xbox connected through a wired connection, not wireless.

go to the manufacturs site they will tell you how to install the firmware.

take out the insides smash those and put it back in lol...water will work. or something really conductive.

disconnect the power cable open it up a little and cut the wire to the antenna or take something off of the circuit board

log onto it using the 192.168.x.x thing, upgrade the firmware, and unplug it while its updating. This will brick the router.
It is possible to recover it, but it will require shorting out contacts on the flash memory chip or even require complete reprogramming.

Or just take the cover off, and while its on snap off a SMD with like pliers or a screwdriver. Do not short it out since that will burn up a component producing physical evidence.
