How many of you....?

Right now, I've got 3 clients that are requesting builds. Man, it's busy work since school started already. There are some pretty damn good deals on ClubIT and Newegg now for builders. I'm even including Vista Home Premium OS, with total build cost of less than $600. I've got another user who wants a high performance PC. That one's costing $2400, so I'm having fun with that one.

Hehe nice, is it air cooled, or are you risking a water cooling setup? :p

It's going to be air-cooled. There are no plans on overclocking so it's raw speed at stock settings. It will be awesome. I'm going with one of the more expensive Lian Li cases that offer superior cooling of the ambient temperature. The CPU will use stock fan/heatsink (Intel Core 2 Extreme QX6850 3.0GHz). Oh yeah, the ultimate CPU. Should he want to OC, it will do so perfectly. Stock, it's still powerful. Then he's getting one of these:

EVGA 768-P2-N835-AR GeForce 8800GTX

As far as RAM goes, these are the BEST!!! Micron D9s baby. Getting two of these for 4GB total!! The price on these are super nice for the performance you're getting.

Crucial Ballistix 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel

I see no reason for two of these, so one is good enough. WHO NEEDS SLI, when you have this card?!?!?! So freaking good. I'm having an orgasm just putting this part list together!!!!

Woop, just finished talking to him on the phone. Price went up to $3,000 even. He said it was easier for him to spend 3 grand than $2400. Funny huh?

Man, I wish that was my system. The only bottleneck I see is the hard drive itself, lol. Even with solid state drives, there is little difference.
