How do I set up a one-page website?

I would like to set up a 1 page website that has a link to a pdf portfolio. I've already made a custom graphic for the page. I'm looking for a reputable host with good secuirty. I'd also like to be able to have a password prompt come up when someone accesses the website.

What is the best way to go for someone who has never set one of these up? What company should I consider? And what should I expect to pay?

I've heard great things about A Small Orange. I don't personally use them, but they should have a plan that suits your need.
