How do i overclock

P3's are really good OC'ers actually. When you have something like that why not try. I got my 1.7 P3 to 3.2.

yes Pentium III is a very good processor, intel said they could have taken it to 1.7ghz , but felt it was time for a new processor, but a PIII 1.7ghz would surely beat P4 2.2

the pentium 3 was suppose to go futher than 1.4ghz but they stopped it once they realized that the p3 could beat the p4 and that was bad for business

What is the speed of your processor, ? Is it a Slot 1 or Socket 370 (FCPGA) Also what type of core does it have? If it has a coppermine, you will not go past 1.13ghz. Intel tried that with the coppermine it was simply to unstable and they had a recall on it. If it has a Tulatin core then there is much hope using socket 370 (FCPGA 2)

Tell us this:
The speed
The Core
The Socket
Then we will be able to assist you!

nope you will have to buy good cooling, start of with 3 fans around your CPU, then higher the voltage and the core speed to about 150Mhz.
