Well were just about to get a got a big tv, (w00t w00t!!!!!), and I was wondering how people connect there computers to a tv. Do you simply need a vga port on your tv? Or is there a process you have to go through.

Most graphics cards have a s-video out port. You can hook that up to the tv if it has the plug, or get a s-video to (that yellow cord i can't remember the name of), then connect it to the tv.

Some of the newer flat TVs have dvi and vga on the back, but most TVs and most video cards have s-video ports.
if that tv is new, that i'd imagine it's atleast got s-video, so you shouldn't have much trouble hooking that sucker up.

yeah, if your video card doesnt have an s video though, you can easily get a signal splitter

its a small box with an in for the monitor cable, and two outs, an s video out, and the yellow out (I think its called vga)
