Homecoming, is where they welcome back, the previous "Class of..." So in this case, they would be welcoming back the Class of 2006-2007. They usually welcome them back with a football game, dance, parade, or some other activity.

It isn't just one class. It's like an open event for all Alumni of the school. Usually though, because it's nothing more than a high school dance in essence, its only like the previous two classes who show up. It's a huge deal at my school... We play some crappy football team and have like a huge parade that shhuts everything down for the afternoon... Kinda stupid actually...
