Hey Guys You Can Still Get On Cf If You Use The Ip When It's Down!

CF is down right now because of some DNS problem but if you use the ip http://72.36.191.10. You can still get on CF, just the domain name won't work.

I noticed that just now. Since yesterday, I couldn't get on!!!! So what I did was typed in Computerforums in google and clicked on one of the alternate links, and I got in somehow. Direct www.computerforums.org doesn't work anymore. But I'll also give that IP address from above a try too.

ummm sorry to burst you bubble, but that doesnt always work. Yesterday when it was down, i kept trying the ip, the url, and pinging the server (it responded). so i have no idea why it wouldnt let us get on.

yeah, it's not always going to work, only when there is DNS trouble.

Yeah, if there's server trouble the IP isn't gonna work. But domain-related issues, yeah. Thanks for it anyway!

I don't know, but I doubt anything will be done about it.

probably not. There been some problems like this for a long time, though during the past month or so we have been having problems quite often.
