my logitech desktop, mx5000 keeps disconnecting when i unplug my ipod any ideas what the causes could be?

Are you pressing safely remove hardware? if so, are you selecting the CORRECT device to safely remove? Because by pressing remove, you might be removing ALL of the devices or the incorrect one. Make sure you are choosing the correct one to remove, if you are unsure, click the safely remove hardware button and manually choose, as opposed to just right clicking and pressing "safely remove hardware"
