OK here it is i'm trying to install mandrake 10 on my pc without wiping out all the info i have stored on my computer i.e. about 80 gbs. I have been tring to use partition magic to setup a partition to install linux onto. However it won't let me do it even though i have 16 gb of free space on my hard-drive. It just tells me cannot create partition on drive one. I'm using windows XP pro and have a NFTS hard-drive.

plz help me

IT IS REALLY IMPORTANT I GET THIS FIGURED OUT!!! :(

your dos partition probably takes up the whole hd. download a free program called bootit, defrag your hd first, then use bootit to resize your dos partition. from there just insert your cd and go.
