Help with the CMOS?

We just got a new motherboared and when we turn on our computer it says the CMOS is bad and shuts off. Whats going on???

First off, wrong section man, you should post in the general computer hardware and discussion section.

second off, I've never gotten that error, try googleing it or something, you might be able to find out more there... all that comes to mind when you say bad cmos is maybe a bad bios..

Reset the CMOS jumper, see what happens then, try taking it off, or putting it on.

What is the state of the CMOS jumper, do you know?

Iv already reset it, any other ideas? I know a little about computers but not enough. Lol..

It shuts off before i can do anything

Might have something to do with the battery. Try taking it out and putting it back in else there is probably something critically wrong with the motherboard so send it back.
