Help With Bios Screen!

ok heres the problem, i have the bios screen on my old computer, and i want to get the photos and stuff i had on it. The problem is that the keyboard that i have (traditional not USB) doesnt work.. when i hook it up and try to escape from the bios it doesnt work. I can press any button on my keyboard but it still wont work. any help will be appreciated..

Just pull out the hard drive and put it into an external USB enclosure. Then connect the drive via USB to the PC you want to copy over the files to.
