help with a santa-cruze sound problem

Hi guys!
i am having a problem with a santa-Cruz adio device9at least i think thats what it is) anyways i cant get any sound out of the computer unless i plug in a set of Andrea anti-noise USB NC-7100 single headphone microphone other wise i cant get anything out of the crazy machine!!!
any thoughts???.... :confused:

you have to look at your mobo manual. i suspect that if you have not had it working before, you may need to move jumpers.
