I'm trying to play a DVD on my new Toshiba laptop (only got it 2 weeks ago) and it just freezes every 3 minutes so I have to using control-alt-delete to forcibly close the program. It's just so incredibly frustrating. I tried using two different DVD player programs and both did the same thing.. then I thought it was the DVD's fault so I changed to another DVD and the same thing happened.

Can anyone offer any reasons as to why this have happened? Any help will be greatly appreciated lol.. I know like nothing about computers.. :(

p.s. I'm using Windows Vista.. I duno if that's any help lol

Now the freaking DVD players wouldn't even play bits anymore, it just goes straight to freeze... ARGHHHHHHHHH

Could be the video codecs. But from the description, I'd agree that the DVD drive is in bad shape.
