I posted my hijack this log earlier (see below), but I'm still having problems. Here is the problem.

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Windows Startup Services] lsasc.exe

I delete all four of the lsasc.exe files, but it always regenerates at night. Has anyone encountered this file that could help me? What happens is when I open up windowns a black screen pops up and I see the lsasc.exe title in the page. I don't know what it is or when it started, but I need to know how to get rid of it. Thanks for any help.

Run HiJackThis and click "Scan", then check(tick) the following, if present:

R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Windows Startup Services] lsasc.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\RunServices: [Windows Startup Services] lsasc.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Windows Startup Services] lsasc.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\RunServices: [Windows Startup Services] lsasc.exe
O4 - Global Startup: PowerReg Scheduler.exe

O16 - DPF: {41F17733-B041-4099-A042-B518BB6A408C} - http://apple.speedera.net/qtinstall...meInstaller.exe

Now, with all windows closed except HiJackThis, click "Fix checked".

===============

Locate and delete the following item(s), if present. Make sure your able to view system and hidden files/ folders:

Search for...

lsasc.exe make sure not to delete the file lsass.exe

...using "Start | Search...".

-

Note that some of these file(s) may or may not be present. If present, and cannot be deleted because they're 'in use', try deleting them from "Safe Mode".

===============

Post back a new log, and let me know how everything goes.

Lobos.
