Hello there. Not sure if this is in the right forum/if you guys allow a troubleshooting thread but..
I have recently (four months ago) bought a 500 GB western digital external hard drive. Ever since, it has been working great. Five days ago though, I unplugged it to take it with me while going to my dad's. PC wouldn't recognise it there, but since it's a really old one I didn't worry about it. Back at home though, it still won't. It doesn't show up under My Computer, and when I go to Device Manager I saw an "unknown device" there (which is now gone too).
Getting quite desperate here since the problem probably lies with the external, but can you guys help?
