hi, i need help putting together a new work computer for my father to use at home. luckely i'm not the one that's paying for it but i am looking at building something in $1,500 range. it's pretty much going to be used for photography and web design and he told me to make him the best possible thing i could.... i'm trying to get a higher budget to use. anyways looking for advice one what i should throw into it. any other questions that may be needed to give me info just ask.

I looked at the build help and here are the changes i made... i upgraded the motherboard and cpu to his suggested ones, because i want the possability of two graphic cards eventually, and because of that upgraded the psu to a 70w.. also please check out the ram i picked, because i am sure there is a better one, i was told to make something faster than what he has so i wanted to get more than 4gb of ram so because of that going to use windows vista 64-bit. sorry if these don't all line up, i copy and pasted from excel.

ANY SUGESTIONS PLEASE LET ME KNOW, CAUSE I AM ALMOST POSATIVE I CAN BETTER THIS, OR AT LEAST THE RAM I KNOW I CAN.

you wouldn't need a good gpu for web design and photography

if its photography you would need to place more emphasis on the hard drive

if you're not playing games the i7 and the 285's are not needed. I feel like both of them are still undersupported and a simple core 2 quad will more than suffice

and you dont need a 750 watt psu unless you want 2 gpus

so what would you suggest to replace those things then? he wants a computer that will be faster than my current gaming computer which is probably about 2 years old now and running off a nvidea 8800.

and harddrive i'm not too worried about, maybe a little larger but for the most part all the picture and file saving will be done on a direct link to the companies hard drive soit isn't actually getting saved on teh computer.

i would prob prefer to just go with a dual gpu because he tells me that he wants something that will run graphics the smoothest they can get. well maybe not dual gpu, but the option to be able to upgrade to 2.

any suggestions on what i should change to in tehse areas?

wow, great choice on that psu, most people skimp on the psu but you are going for the gold (or bronze in this case), I've seen great reviews on it and some even state that it will pull 900w+ and not miss a beat...

excellent choice...
