Im am planning to build my own pc used mostly for gaming and graphic design type things. and i have done some research but i need some help on what and where to buy. i dont have any idea on what is the best hardware for your money.i have a budget of 2000 dollars and any help is appreaceated.

k, just start off from this rig, and work ur way to ur desired system

Asus M2N, not sure of the whole name
AM2 4200+
2GB Dual Channel, any of these brands: OCZ,Crucial,G.Skill,Corsair,Patriot, Mushkin
1 raptor hard drive for system
1 caviar for storage
a nice case with good cooling, preferably Thermaltake Armor or Coolermaster Stacker

i just didnt include a gpu, he can pick one to fit his need, he said hes gaming and doing graphic stuff, so its best to get like a x1800 gto or x1800 xt or 7900 Gt.

If you are desperate for a new comp now: 7900 GTX, Athlon X2, 2 gigs.

(Recommended) Wait a few months: Conroe, DX10 Vid Card, 2 gigs, sheer joy.

you can always go onto a website that deals with building individual specs for people and you can tailor the systems on there to your needs and it will give you a price as you add things or take things away, 2000 is a great budget.
