I just cant make up my mind, it's a curse! I'm willing to spend saome serious cash on memory, as I know first hand that you do get what you pay for. So I compiled the list of what I would like to get. nothing more, nothing less. Maybe more, if someone has a good recommendation. I'm looking for one hell of an overclock here, so I need some badass memory. Here is the list. I would like to not go with the G Skills, since they cost so damn much, but if I have too.... My current specs are in the sig. Here is the list, with a link for each one.

G Skill LA's

G.SKILL 1GB (2 x 512MB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM Dual Channel Kit System Memory

So, to all you 1337 memory xperts, if these were your choices, which ones?

I would get either of the G. skill ones for overclocking, if I had the money, but they are about £250 in the UK.

OCZ rev. 2 are meant to be really good for it too.

Well, although Im not too experienced with OCing, etc, I would go witht the LAs.

Because:

I've heard bad stories about heatspreaders.
Im pretty sure they use brainpower PCBs (which has been proven to OC better than most other PCBs).
They use TCCD which are nice for OCing with low voltages.

Like what?

I know about G Skill being some of the best RAM you can get, but the LA's are $280! Thats alot of dough! I didnt really want to spend that much, but i will if I have to. Since the G Skills are a given, what would you put as second to the G Skills?

I've heard that you can usually get a few more MHz out of heatspreaderless RAM, with active cooling (a fan). From the reading that I have done, it seems best to have bare ICs with a fan or use RAMsinks and a fan.

Remember, I'm still an OC n00b, and I am only going off of the reviews that I have read and from posts that I have read in other forums (XS being one of them).

Heat spreaders are good if they put them on properly, and not use some tape that doesn't help with heat transfer.

If you are able to afford the G. skill, than the last one doesn't come with the heatspreader.

Apart from G. skill, I would say the OCZ ram.

Its the type of RAM. Any OCZ will not OC very good. I would get OCZ Platinum Rev2, which are TCCD also. Apart from LA's, this is your second best choice.
