LOL... At least I get a refund? So Amazon could refuse to give me a refund and I would have paid them $240.00 for an item I never received?

That's a rotten break! It just goes to show if you want something done right you have to go out and do it yourself.
Once the rebate is in you'll likely find all kinds of after holiday sales since some report this as having been the worst shoppinng season in the last four decades for retailers. It still stinks not having the gift in time.
