Help...folder Access Denied

I am the owner and only user of the pc and all the files.
I have just added my partner, and tried to secure a drive.
I can open the drive and see all the files, but can't open files or play music/videos?
I have run takeown, and it said success, but still can't use files!?

Scroll down until you see the download button for the reg file, add the reg entry once you have it and reboot. Right click the root folder of the files and run that. If that doesn't work you will need to go into the advanced security properties and make you the owner and check the box that says replace child properties.

Ok, sorry, have been away on business.
Great, this allowed me access to my files.
But, i am still unable to download files to this directory....so i still don't have the original settings...any ideas?

Still having issues with this drive, i can't add t0rrents to it, so I still haven't corrected the security settings, anyone any idea how to finally resolve this issue?
