A A1111 Baseband Member Messages 40 May 14, 2010 #1 I have a Dell XPS 200, and I salvaged a few parts from an old Compaq. I have DVD ROM drive (model: DVD-116ME) which uses an IDE connector. I just want to connect it to my PC to see if it works, but I have no idea how to do this properly. Any advice?

OP OP A A1111 Baseband Member Messages 40 May 14, 2010 #3 Yeah I have a few of those. I've opened my PC and I'm not sure where to look for the IDE port (assuming there is one). The current drive is a NEC 6650 DVD-RW which uses somthing different.
