HDD works with MB ?

Absolutely with no problem at all. Completely compatible. Get two of them and RAID it. That will be fast. THen slap a cooler on the bottom of those sucker. 10,000RPMs, whew, that's fast.

Two 150GB Raptors?

Oh yeah, and while your at it, win the lottery :p

But if you can get two 10K hard drives, RAID 0 them.

Yeah, that would be so nice but too darn expensive. I would love to do that if money was not an issue.

Hard drive technology improvement are in the works as we speak. Expect some new hard drives to come out soon with faster drives and larger storage capacity. I read up on this awhile back, but it's one of the main bottlenecks in our PCs.

Yes, both would work. Nvidia chipsets have issues with some Maxtor hard drives, not Western Digital :)

Yeah. I agree, one day everyone will own a like 30K hard drive, and there will be stupid sizes like 2TB, and everyone just has one. These 7200RPM ones will just be like having a PCI video card, it just wont happen anymore.

thanks guys !

also if i filled up my raptor hdd, would it slow down how the 10k rpms

cuz i was thinking of getting a second HDD just for storage of music/files

No, it wouldnt ever slow down, not at 10k

Yeah, it would be cool to get a nice 7200RPM for music and that.

Do you game?
