I was wondering what is the minimum requirements to play an HD movie file. What is required for 1080p? 720p?
I'm not talking about playing the disks, more of an encoded/ripped movie file with high bitrate (enough for either 1080p or 720p).
I am currently figuring out if it is worth it to buy a new power supply to plug in my old 8800GT in there. It currently has an P4 (505 I think) 2.66Ghz, and 768 MB DDR.
