I dont know about you but I get tired of having Windows Explorer
open to My Documents which I rarely if ever use. I generally spend
most of my time moving within My Computer switching between my
2 drives/6 partitions. Here's how I got Windows Explorer to open
to My Computer instead of My Documents with Split Pane enabled.

Works for NT, 2K, XP

From the "Start" menu, find the "Windows Explorer" shortcut
under "Programs" & then "Accessories".

Right-Click the "Windows Explorer" shortcut & scroll to the bottom
to Properties. In the Targert: box add the following switch /e,

The new link should look like %SystemRoot%\explorer.exe /e,

If you have a shortcut on your desktop the new link should look
like this: C:\WINNT\explorer.exe /e,

If you want your "Desktop" shortcut to open to a specific drive
without split pane enabled the shortcut should look like this:

C:\WINNT\explorer.exe c:\

or your "Start" menu shortcut to open to a specific drive without
split pane it will look like this:

%SystemRoot%\explorer.exe c:\
