I am hoping somebody can help.

I am trying to recover info from a seagate 120 gig hdd that has decided to stop working with third party enclosures. It will probably still work internally but the desktop I have is one of those HPackards with two hard drives on the IDE cable, one for the main drive and one for System Restore or whatever. The computer can't seem to work without either and there's no room for another drive. Is anyone familiar with this or know a way around it? I am just trying to install this drive internally so I can kick the data to another external I have.

Any one of you wizards who can help is seriously thanked sevenfold.

are you sure there aren't 2 IDE connectors on your mobo? i believe most motherboards do.. then you'd just need another cable. OR if both are used, get a cable with 2 ends, for master and slave, and connection one on each...

Can I put a hard drive on the secondary IDE connecter like that (where the CD drives are now)?
